Christine and Robert’s Atlanta wedding at the Georgia Aquarium was one of our favorites! These two got married back in 2022, but I knew that I wanted them to be one of the first couples featured on our blog. To see how their day was seamlessly executed, keep on reading!
Christine and Robert’s Georgia Aquarium Wedding in Atlanta
Christine and Robert wanted their wedding day to reflect the best of both of their cultures. It was very important to them that we incorporated aspects of Christina’s Chinese heritage traditions, which made me so excited! I love when couples personalize their wedding day and include the cultural elements they see fit.
We ended up planning a Tea Ceremony that took place during the cocktail hour, which was the most significant cultural event of the day. This specific tradition is part of Chinese culture to honor the bride and groom’s parents! Once the couple communicated that they wanted to include this event in their Atlanta wedding, my team and I got to work to make sure it flowed seamlessly with the rest of their day. It was such a unique feature that we don’t often get to plan, but I’m so glad we could be a part of it!
They needed an experienced Atlanta wedding planner
I mean, let’s be real, all couples should hire an experienced wedding planning team for their big day. But Christina and Robert in particular really prioritized hiring a team who knew what they were doing, given that they lived out of state. They wanted to be sure whoever they hired had their feed on the ground in Atlanta with extensive experience with the Atlanta wedding planning industry. Cue Miah Luke Co.!
C + R were honestly a dream to work with. Although they were out of state, they put complete trust in the Miah Luke Co. team to plan and execute their wedding day without a hitch. They were laid back yet decisive (two of my favorite qualities in our couples), and those two things made the process of working together as a team so enjoyable. We worked hard to create a stunning event and had fun together at the same time!
The Georgia Aquarium: an Atlanta Wedding Venue
I absolutely loved planning a wedding at the Georgia Aquarium! They have some beautiful spaces to choose from for couples wanting a unique experience for their day. Christine and Robert held their ceremony in the Antarctic Pre-Function Space, their Cocktail Hour/Tea Ceremony in the Indian Room Foyer, and their reception in the Arctic Ballroom. We had a blast customizing these spaces to match the theme of their wedding, and everything looked beautiful!
